The Charlestown Animal Shelter - Charlestown Animal Shelter personnel care for stray and abandoned domestic animals within the town limits, as well as pets surrendered by their owners. As a municipal shelter, they also provide animal control services for the town.
Stand Up For Animals is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to build and operate a state-of-the-art animal shelter, adoption center and regional outreach facility to promote the health and welfare of abandoned or lost pets and to educate and assist those who care for them.
